💧 Sippy

Terms of Use

Last updated: August 29, 2026

Apple's standard EULA also applies: apple.com/legal/…/stdeula

1. What Sippy is

Sippy is a habit and accountability app. It schedules alarms and uses your device camera to confirm you took a sip of water.

Sippy is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Hydration needs vary by person, activity, climate, medication, and medical history. Talk to a qualified healthcare professional about your own hydration — and never use Sippy in place of medical guidance.

2. Use it safely

3. Subscriptions

Sippy offers auto-renewing subscriptions:

Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel anytime in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If you have a free trial, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

4. Hard Mode and the unlock fee (“the Ransom”)

Hard Mode is optional and must be turned on deliberately.

5. Alarms

Sippy uses Apple's alarm system, which can sound through silent mode and Focus modes. Alarms may not fire if you hide the app or lock it behind Face ID, if your device is off, or if system permissions are revoked. Do not rely on Sippy for anything safety-critical or time-critical (medication timing, appointments, transportation).

6. Your content and your device

Your hydration data and camera checks stay on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for your device, your backups, and your Apple Account.

7. Acceptable use

Don't reverse engineer, resell, or attempt to circumvent purchases; don't use Sippy to harass, coerce, or track another person; don't use it in any unlawful way.

8. Disclaimers and limits

Sippy is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Sippy is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes and termination

We may update the app or these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new date. We may suspend access for violations of these terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
